In 2005, we travelled to Baja California del Sur. We flew into San Jose del Cabo, rented a car and drove up the coast of the Sea of Cortez to Los Frailes. Located just south of Cabo Pulmo, the only hard coral reef in North America, the Hotel Bahia Los Frailes sets on a beautiful bay. Electricity is supplied by a generator. There is a very small town nearby, but basically all services are provided by the Hotel. Though I didn’t get any photos of them, my strongest memories are of manta rays jumping and slapping back into the water.
